Keeping a diary in English is one of the effective ways to improve our English writing ability. It can help us develop the habit of thinking in English. Almost all students don’t know what to write in English at the beginning. I had the same experience. But I just keep writing down everything happened to be in my mind. I will turn to a dictionary if I come across any words that I don’t know how to express. The second day, I just do the same.

Then I keep on writing every day. Maybe the things I write at first cannot be called an article, or even a sentence. It doesn’t matter. I do understand that it needs time to get myself used to thinking in a different way. Time can prove my efforts will not end in vain.

The lucky-number has become increasingly popular in daily life of mordern socialty. For example, the number eight means big money which people like most, while the number four means death.

Some people believe lucky numbers so deeply that they will afford a telephone with numbers without four and others which is bad in their mind. They argue that the lucky-number really can bring good luck, and, at least, no evidence testify they can not.

As far as I am concerned, there is no such relationship betwwen the numbers and lucky, for the reason that numbers theirself are given certain meaning for the purpose of application of mathmetic. And, In addition, man should not depend on lucky which, in their mind, the numbers gives them.

英語啊英語，什麼時候你才能同我的語文、物理等等科目統一戰線，不拉它們後腿？人家說女孩子學英語比男孩子簡單得多，可巧了，偏偏多出了我這個另類。看着零零61分，不禁嘆曰：

無言獨坐窗頭，

心冷如冬。

無奈英語分數獨自掛燈籠。

記不住，背不牢，

是英語。

別是一番滋味在心頭。

自創小詩一首，以抒我對英語的頑固不化之痛。再仔細分析試卷，第一大題選擇題全是課內知識，是13單元土生土長的題型，我的做對率也爲100%。後面的題基本上是課外閱讀，結果做得慘不忍睹。另外語法題也很成問題。都怪平時積累甚少，遇到新單詞就沒折了，無法完全理解文意，也不瞭解那些詞彙的搭配。很有可能那些單詞我在課外練習時碰到過，但是沒有耐心地去記。一遇到語法題，我就把“褲子”當“上衣”穿了，把“襪子”當“毛巾”來擦臉了，又把“擦鞋刷”拿來當“牙刷”使了，總之---一片混亂，搭配得相當的個性。不禁又曰：

昔時以乘黃河去，

捲上空留新單詞。

時間一去不復返，

疏忽大意讓人憂。

人詞相望漠漠然，

老師叉叉環扣環。

只恨積累爲時晚，

望望卷頭使人愁。

又自賦小詩一首，以追積累甚少之恨。當然，也沒有像詩中說的那麼嚴重，我明白，現在開始，多和單詞打交道還不遲，多做閱讀練習還不遲，多補語法也還不遲。臨中考以爲日不多，但奔跑起來也該還不晚。另外，多向那些可能其他方面不如我，但英語比我強的同學請教，以光孔老先生“不恥下問”的遺德。
