樹和斧頭寓言故事

一個樵夫走進森林裏，請求樹給他一根木頭做斧柄。樹的首領馬上就答應了樵夫那溫和謙遜的請求，毫不猶豫地給了他一根小樹枝。樵夫用小樹枝做成了自己想要的斧柄。剛一完成這個任務，他接着就在森林裏用斧頭砍起其中最貴重的一棵大樹。當樹看到樵夫用的正是自己給他的禮物時，說：“哎呀，哎呀！我們是自己葬送了自己。給他的那一根小樹枝，竟然葬送了我們大家的命。要是我們沒給它，也許我們還能在這裏多站幾年。”
