最高級是表示在三者或更多者中程度最高的比較方式

①the+形容詞最高級+名詞+表示範圍的短語或從句

Jackisthetalleststudentinhisclass.傑克是他班上最高的學生。

Heisthefastestrunnerofthethreeboys.他是這三個男孩中跑得最快的。

ThisisthemostboringbookI'veeverread.這是我讀過的最乏味的書。

②oneofthe+形容詞最高級+名詞複數+表示範圍的短語或從句

Chinaisoneofthelargestcountriesintheworld.中國是世界上最大的.國家之一。

用法比較：介詞in和of引導的短語說明比較的範圍

如果在一定的地域空間內進行比較用in;如果在同一類事物範圍內進行比較用of.

ChinaisthelargestcountryinAsia.中國是亞洲最大的國家。

ChinaisthelargestoneofalltheAsiancountries.中國是亞洲所有國家中最大的。

③運用比較級表達最高級的概念

"比較級+thananyother+名詞複數"，"比較級+thantheother+名詞複數"或"比較級+thantherestof+the+名詞複數"都可表示最高級意義。

Juliaistallerthananyothergirlinherclass.

Juliaistallerthantheothergirlsinherclass.

Juliaistallerthantherestofthegirlsinherclass.

以上三句表達的意思等同於最高級的含義：
