每個星期二和星期五晚上看到李小姐，一天的辛苦工作之後，我的鄰居，在一個公司趕回家，一個祕書，吞下她吃飯然後趕緊去車上她的英語課。李小姐的情況並非獨特，現在越來越多的城市成年人度過他們的業餘時間，試圖提高自己在學校或學院。

有很多理由可以爲他們的教育。有些人，如李小姐，都在做這件事來獲得另一個學位或文憑來給社會留下深刻印象。對他們更多的知識，或者說，更多的證書意味着更多的機會，更好的工作和更快的晉升。

其他人，特別是下崗或失業的人去職業學校，準備回到就業市場。他們渴望新的技能，使他們能夠勝任在零售行業，管理，教育和其他服務類的'工作，他們是奇怪的，因爲他們大多是藍領工人在工廠。

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.

Some of us are having problems with our parents, as they often look into our school bags or read our diaries. I fully understand why we are not fortable about it, but there's no need to feel too sad. Our parents are checking our bags or diaries to make sure we are not getting into any trouble. They have probably heard some horrible stories about other kids and thought we might do the same. Or perhaps they just want to connect with us but are doing it all wrong. My suggestion is: Tell them we want them to trust us as much as we'd like to trust them. If you don't think you can talk to them, write them a letter and leave it lying around ---they are bound to read it.
